It is life-changing to be able to listen to your preferred radio stations in either one of the games.ĮVERYONE LOOKING FOR SOME NORWEGIAN ONES, I FOUND SOME: So, I can listen to my local NPR station while driving from Portugal to Norway. Just look for the "live-streams.SII" file in your ATS folder.Īdditionally, if you find a streaming URL for a radio station you want to hear, you can add it to your live_streams.SII in either game. The process works the same for ATS, so you can listen to the BBC while in the middle of Nevada. Change this to 0 (zero) if you don't want the in-game radio to mark this as a favorite.) (Basically, "News" is the genre (you can change it to Talk, Music, etc) "EN" is the language" "128" is the bitrate" and "1" indicates a favorite (starred) station. see the README.rtf in the same folder for more details Go to "C:\Users\YOURNAMEHERE\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2"Īnd edit the Relevant station, in this case Radio 4,ĭO NOT change the other details, unless you are sure what you're doing. So, here's a link to the updated station stream list:įind the stations you want, then copy the stream (for example, for BBC Radio 4). The issue is that the URLs for the radio stations I wanted changed, and the game doesn't know what the new URL streams are when you click "Update From Internet" or whatever, it just pings the dead stream, which is why there's no sound coming from those stations. The way things are going this doesn't look good at all.Yeah! Thanks for reaching out not only did I fix the problem, I even improved on it! and with the new version 1.37 it will be a brutal cut (from 150 stations that worked from 2016 till now I am down to 30-40 - after 1.37 I am guessing it will be around 10-15 working streams if we are lucky). I invested a lot of time and effort from 2016 to keep a working stream list for this game that hundreds-thousands of people download and use and I noticed that almost every 2-3 month the list is getting shorter and shorter. so thats a good news but it eliminates a lot of streams that work in version 1.36.Ĭan we expect any change in the radio player area with the new audio update? I did notice that with the new 1.37 version the radio stations that do work load instantly - no waiting/delay. The radio station guess is that the game tries to find the shoutcast server to download s but somewhere on the line there is an exception thrown. He also tested on his PC and tried to fix it but with no success. he claims that they didn't changed anythingīesides migrating from HTTP to HTTPS and also added support for IPv6. ![]() I contacted the radio station and the person who replied believe it or not he also owns Euro Truck Simulator 2 and invested a lot of time and effort to understand why doesn't work anymore. The new link will be " " - this doesn't work in either one of the versions! Unfortunately the above stream will be discontinued by the station in the next 1-2 weeks. The following stream link only works with 1.36: " ". As an example I will give you a local radio station from my country called 'Vocea Strazii'. A lot of radio streams that are working in 1.36 are not working in 1.37. ![]()
